The Harold is the best known, most played longform format - or structure - in improvisational theatre.

Developed in the 1960ies, it is performed all over the world. The format has been adapted, varied and rediscovered many times. The harold is a series of connected scenes where themes and characters are reintroduced without a classic narrative plot structure. It is a challenging but very satisfying longform format. In this workshop we will focus both on the structure but also on the concept of Game of the Scene - which is the most important comedy concept taught at the UCB school of improv.
